Herbal Oden with Wanko Dash

Ingredients
- Cod (skin and bone-free) …… 80g
- Daikon radish (peeled) …… 80g
- Firm tofu …………… 60g
- Komatsuna (leaf tips) …… 20g
- Jujube (dried) ……… 1 piece
- Ginger ………………… 0.5g
- Water …………………… 400ml
- Wanko Dash ………… 1 packet
Preparation
- In a pot, combine one packet of Wanko Dash, 400 ml of water, jujube, and ginger. Heat over medium heat.
- Slice daikon radish thinly (about 0.5cm) and cut into triangles.
- Cut firm tofu into 1cm cubes.
- Use only the leaf tips of komatsuna, roll them up, and secure with a toothpick.
Instructions
- In a pot, add 1 packet of dog dashi, 400ml water, jujube, and ginger, and heat over medium heat.
- After boiling for about 5 minutes, remove the dashi pack and ginger.
- Add daikon radish and simmer until soft, about 10 minutes.
- Add cod (shaped into balls), firm tofu, and komatsuna, and gently simmer for another 10 minutes, being careful not to overboil.
- Once the daikon radish is soft, it's ready.
Tip
We also recommend finely chopping the cooked jujube and using it as a topping.
