Privacy policy

Our company (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") handles information concerning users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") in the services provided by the Company (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") as described below.

Article 1 General Provisions

  1. The Company shall comply with the Personal Information Protection Act, guidelines from various ministries and agencies, and other related laws and regulations to ensure the protection of User information.
  2. This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") shall apply to the use of the Service (including services provided by the Company incidental to the Service).
    In cases where the Company stipulates the handling of User information in a privacy policy or other personal information protection policy or terms of use published on its website, such stipulations shall also apply. If such stipulations conflict with this Policy, this Policy shall prevail.
  3. The provisions of this Policy shall not apply to alliance services provided by alliance partners or other services provided by parties other than the Company.
    For the handling of User information in these services, please refer to the privacy policies etc. separately stipulated by the business operators providing such external services.

Article 2 Information Acquired

  1. The Company acquires User information, including personal information (meaning "personal information" as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Personal Information Protection Act; the same shall apply hereinafter), in the Service as set forth below.

    1. Basic Information: Users are required to register their name, address, telephone number, email address, etc. for identity verification, prevention of unauthorized use, and service guidance.
    2. Users may be required to register information such as details of use of various services, opinions/consultation content, profile information, for purposes such as providing event information, reference for service research and development, creation of various statistical materials and media, provision of product/service information and sales activities, responding to the exercise of rights based on laws and obligations, and recording/organizing opinions/consultation content.
  2. Information collected by the Company when you use the Service

    1. Device Information
      The Company may collect information unique to the device used by the user (such as unique device IDs and other individual identification information) for the purpose of maintaining and improving the Service or preventing fraudulent activity.
    2. Log Information and Behavioral History Information
      The Company may collect information such as IP addresses, timestamps of user requests, and operational history within the Service, which are automatically generated and stored when the Service is used, for the purpose of maintaining and improving the Service or preventing fraudulent activity.
    3. Electronic data such as photos and videos received by the user with their consent for use in surveys conducted by the Service and ancillary to them.
  3. The Company shall acquire User information through appropriate means, without resorting to false or illicit methods.
    Furthermore, in cases where the Company acquires User information through means other than the User's use of the Service, the Company shall notify or announce the purpose of use in advance.

Article 3 Purpose of Use

  1. The Company shall appropriately handle User information acquired through the use of the Service within the scope of the following purposes.
    We will not use it beyond the scope of the purpose of use without the User's consent.
  2. Article 4 Provision to Third Parties

  1. The Company will not provide personal information among user information to third parties, except in the following cases:

    3. When the User harms the interests of others or commits an act contrary to public order and morals, or any other act violating the terms of use of the Service, or attempts to do so, and it is necessary to take appropriate measures against such act.
    4. When it is necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the User's consent.
    5. When it is especially necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of the sound upbringing of children, and it is difficult to obtain the User's consent.

The Company may provide user information, including personal information, to business operators providing services that cooperate with the Service (hereinafter referred to as "Cooperating Services") (hereinafter referred to as "Cooperating Partners") for the purpose of providing Cooperating Services, after obtaining the user's consent.

Article 5 Anonymized Processed Information

When creating anonymized processed information (personal information processed so that specific individuals cannot be identified and cannot be restored), the Company will take the following measures:

  1. Appropriate processing shall be applied in accordance with standards stipulated by law.
  2. Safety management measures shall be taken in accordance with standards stipulated by law.

Article 6 Outsourcing of Personal Information Handling

The Company may outsource all or part of the handling of personal information acquired from Users to a third party (including entrusting the management of information containing personal information to a business operator).
In this case, the Company shall beforehand conclude a confidentiality agreement etc. with the entrusted party that is equivalent to this Policy, and shall conduct necessary and appropriate supervision to ensure proper and secure management of information by the entrusted party.

Article 7 Joint Use

The Company may jointly use Users' personal information with alliance partners to the extent necessary for the provision of alliance services.
In such cases, the Company shall publicly announce in advance the name of the alliance partner, the purpose of joint use, and the types of information to be jointly used.

Article 8 Behavioral Targeting Advertising

  1. For the purpose of implementing targeted advertising (an advertising method that delivers advertisements tailored to the user's needs, interests, and concerns) by the Company or third-party ad delivery providers, the Company collects, stores, or uses the following information by utilizing the information collection module specified in the preceding article when providing the Service or alliance services:

    1. Behavioral history information (information such as usage history of the Service, which can be stored to analyze user needs, interests, and concerns, and does not lead to the identification of a specific individual).
    2. Device Information
    3. We will publicly disclose the categories of information about individuals included in the anonymized processed information.
    4. Location Information

The Company provides the information collected based on the preceding paragraph to advertising distribution business operators (hereinafter referred to as "Ad Distribution Business Operators") for the purpose of delivering beneficial information to Users by distributing optimal behavioral targeting advertisements customized to the Users' needs, interests, and concerns.
  3. The Company shall retain collected behavioral history information, etc., only for a period that is legally and legitimately necessary for business operations.
  4. When providing behavioral history information etc. to ad delivery service providers, the Company endeavors to take the following measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of such information and for other security management:

    1. Not disclosing the mechanism of algorithms, etc. for encrypting behavioral history information.
    2. Providing behavioral history information to advertising distribution business operators only on the condition that it will be used within the scope of the purpose of use stipulated in Paragraph 2.
    3. When an advertising distribution business operator provides behavioral history information to another third party, obliging the advertising distribution business operator to provide it under the same conditions as in the preceding item to that third party.

Article 9 Safety Management System

  1. The Company implements necessary and appropriate measures for the safe management of User information, such as restricting access to personal information files, recording access logs, and installing security software to prevent unauthorized access from external sources, for the purpose of preventing leakage, loss, or damage of User information and other protection of User information.
  2. The Company shall appoint its representative director as the User Information Management Officer and shall implement appropriate management and continuous improvement of User information.

Article 10 User's Rights to Disclosure and Correction of Information

  1. Users may request disclosure of personal information they have provided to the Company by following the procedures set forth below.

    1. Please make your request by filling out and submitting the prescribed form on our website, or by sending a written application with the necessary documents for identity verification (or verification of proper representation in the case of an agent) to the Company by mail.
      In the case of a written application, a fee of 1000 yen will be charged for each application.
    2. When identity verification is completed for a request based on the preceding item, the Company will disclose personal information within a reasonable scope.
      However, this shall not apply in cases where the Company is not obligated to disclose information by the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations, or when repeated requests of the same content are made without legitimate reason.
  2. If the personal information held by the Company regarding a User is factually incorrect, the User may request correction, addition, or deletion by following the procedures set forth below.

    1. Please submit your request by filling out and submitting the prescribed form on our website, or by sending an application form with the necessary documents for identity verification (or confirmation of proper representation in the case of an agent) to our company by mail.
    2. When identity verification is completed for a request based on the preceding item, the Company shall conduct an investigation without delay within a reasonable scope and, based on the results, correct, add, or delete personal information.
      However, this shall not apply in cases where the Company is not obligated to do so by the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations, when repeated requests of the same content are made without legitimate reason, or when excessive technical work is required.
  3. If personal information about a user held by the Company is being handled beyond the scope of the publicly announced purpose of use, or has been acquired through false or other illicit means, the user may request the cessation of use or deletion of the personal information in accordance with the procedures set forth below.

    1. Please submit your request by filling out and submitting the prescribed form on our website, or by sending an application form with the necessary documents for identity verification (or confirmation of proper representation in the case of an agent) to our company by mail.
    2. When identity verification is confirmed for a request based on the preceding item, the Company shall conduct an investigation without delay within a reasonable scope and, based on the results, suspend the use or delete the personal information.
      However, this shall not apply in cases where the Company is not obligated to do so by the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations, when repeated requests of the same content are made without legitimate reason, or when excessive technical work is required.

Article 11 Changes to this Policy

  1. The Company shall periodically review the operational status of handling User information, strive for continuous improvement, and may change this Policy as necessary, at any time.
  2. The revised policy will be announced on the Service or on the website operated by the Company, or by other easily understandable means.
    However, when making changes that require User consent under law, the Company will obtain User consent by a separately prescribed method.

Article 12 Disclaimer

  1. While the Company makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information published on its website, the Company shall not be liable for any actions taken by users of the website (hereinafter referred to as "Users") using the information on the website.
  2. The Company shall not be liable for any damages suffered by the User or any damages caused by the User to a third party as a result of the User's use of the Company's website.
