Sol, a beloved member of the M.N. family, is a sweet and affectionate dog who loves people.
This 4-year-old Maltipoo boy enjoys relaxing at home.
When his meal is being prepared, he notices the activity and comes over to sit and wait patiently, which is quite endearing.

Our encounter with Wanko Dashi

Since discovering Wankodashi, Sol's diet has truly transformed.
I never imagined that something I'd been struggling with could change so simply.
Now, I add about half a portion of Wankodashi to her wet food, making it soupy.
That's all it takes, but this small effort has made Sol's mealtime a joyful experience.
The biggest change, undoubtedly, is her appetite.
Sol is actually a meat-lover, and I once gave her boiled chicken broth, but she didn't drink much of it.
However, the fish-based Wankodashi is completely different; she drinks it all up.
Since adding Wankodashi, her picky eating habits have disappeared, and now she finishes every meal completely.
She also eats faster, and I feel happy every time I see her eat.
And what's most reassuring is that she's naturally getting enough hydration.
Since she drinks the broth with her food, she's able to hydrate without any fuss.

She's eating better and drinking enough water than before. That's why I continue to use it.

Wankodashi has not only eased my concerns about her meals but also brought me daily peace of mind.

Anxiety about not eating or drinking

In the past, I struggled with both diet and hydration.

  • Picky eating and low appetite
He had always had a small appetite, and his interest in food varied depending on the day.
I found myself serving his meals with a sense of uncertainty, wondering, “Will he eat today…?”
  • Concerns about water intake
Since he doesn’t drink much water, I was especially concerned about dehydration during the summer.
I kept asking myself, “How can I make mealtime enjoyable while naturally encouraging him to stay hydrated?”
It was while searching for that answer that I came across "Wanko Dashi."

How I Use Dashi for My Dog

Wanko Dashi is useful in situations other than mealtime too.
In fact, Sol used to be bad at taking medicine, and would skillfully avoid it even if mixed with his food.

At that time, when I tried giving it to him with the dashi, he drank it without realizing it, enveloped by the aroma.
I still can't forget the relief I felt then.

Since then, it has become an indispensable aid for administering medication.
Also, when his stomach isn't feeling well or his appetite is low, I sometimes give him only the dashi.

There's a sense of security in being able to gently supplement fluids and nutrients first, rather than forcing him to eat.

For those about to try Wanko Dashi

Similarly, for those struggling with food or water intake, I highly recommend giving this a try.

It will be particularly reassuring for pets who don't drink much water or for owners concerned about hydration during the summer.

And also for those who have trouble with medication.
Even sensitive pets might drink it thanks to the power of dashi.

Mealtime, which used to be a source of anxiety, has now become a time when Sol eagerly waits with shining eyes.
The sight of him excitedly waiting at my feet is my greatest joy.
