Loving and cheerful, but actually very delicate.
Moana, a member of the A.H. family, is an 11-year-old female Golden Retriever.
She is also strong, having overcome major surgery to once again grace the stage of her beloved dog dancing.

Our encounter with Wanko Dashi

It was a week before Moana’s surgery, and I was filled with anxiety. “What if she loses her appetite?” “Will she have enough stamina?”…With these thoughts, I went to Interpets in April and, by chance, discovered “Wanko Dashi.”

Moana drank the dashi, which I had tried with some skepticism, without hesitation. I remember seeing that and feeling, “Maybe this will work.”

Finding something she enjoyed eating before the major ordeal of surgery was a huge support for me.

Surgery and aftercare

At 11 years old, she underwent surgery to remove part of her liver and gallbladder. After the surgery, there was concern about her physical strength, and stricter fat management was also necessary. To continue her beloved dog dancing, days of searching for a way to provide sufficient nutrition without straining her body began.

Amazed by the speed of her recovery, she's more energetic than before.

The most surprising thing was the speed of her recovery.
Her eagerness to move around, even when we kept telling her to rest, made me think she might be even more energetic than before the surgery!
I can't express how much her powerful spirit encouraged me.

A cup to start the morning right

Ever since we started incorporating "Wanko Dashi" soup into Moana's breakfast, her morning awakenings have improved dramatically. Just as people drink warm water in the morning to awaken their internal organs, I've noticed that she moves around much more lightly after eating.

Proactive hydration to support the liver

As part of her post-operative care, I was particularly mindful of hydration.
She wasn't a dog who drank much water originally, but with the power of the dashi, she's now able to drink plenty of fluids without effort and while enjoying it.

How I Use Dashi for My Dog

We incorporate it in the best way each day, according to Moana's activity level and physical condition.

  1. Morning Routine to Awaken the Internal Organs
In the morning, we mix cold-brew soup with a boiled egg or supplements.
As a light meal that isn't too heavy, it gently kicks off the day.
  2. As a Nutritional Charm for Ailments
Even when she has no appetite or is concerned about acid reflux, the ability to replenish fluids and nutrients with just soup is a great comfort.
  3. Partner for Practice and Expeditions
Individual packets are very useful for dog dance expeditions. Even in stressful situations due to a change in environment, Moana happily drinks the dashi broth when it's quickly dissolved in hot water.
  4. Our 3-Stage Utilization to Leverage the Power of Ingredients
From cold-brew soup to re-extraction with hot water, then drying it into a furikake, we deliver the full power of the ingredients to Moana's body without any waste.

For those about to try Wanko Dashi

The reason I continue using it is because it resonates deeply with my own philosophy of health.
Rather than relying on one-time, special care, I believe in gently incorporating something good into daily life—consistently and without strain.
I truly believe that this is what builds long-term health.
"Wanko Dashi" is something that naturally becomes a part of everyday life.
